BLAST has been working closely with tournament organisers, including FISSURE, to find a calendar solution that allows teams to compete in both the BLAST Slam Dota IV and FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2.
After reviewing all options, we have decided to shift our tournament schedule forward. The group stage of BLAST Slam IV will now take place online from October 14 to 19, instead of October 28 to November 2, 2025.
This decision comes after close consultation with teams, partners and fellow tournament organisers. The overlap would have created challenges for players competing in both events, and we’ve worked hard behind the scenes to find a solution that works for everyone involved.
By moving the group stage online and adjusting the dates, we’re ensuring that teams have the ability to compete in both tournaments without compromise should they wish.
We are working hand-in-hand with FISSURE on logistics around travel and scheduling to make this transition as smooth as possible. Our focus remains on supporting players and teams so they can deliver their best performances, while fans can continue to enjoy world-class competition.
We’ll continue collaborating with fellow tournament organisers and review the future qualifiers to give teams the best chance to attend multiple events while ensuring optimal conditions for competition.
We hope to see you soon at BLAST's first-ever LAN. Stay tuned to BLAST Socials for all the latest information.
