What's going on with Overpass?: BLAST Open London day two recap

If you thought Overpass was harsh to the top teams on day one of BLAST Open London, just wait until you see what MOUZ had to suffer against Imperial.

On top of that, we've got a return to winning ways for Spirit and and a confident in for G2, so how about we just get on with it?

MOUZ win despite Overpass decimation

MOUZ entered BLAST Open London as one of the favourites, but you'd have been forgiven for thinking Imperial were the favourites after map one.

A 13-2 win for the Brazilians, skullz starred for them in the series opener, recording a 1.94 rating in what was his debut game for his new team.

Fortunately for MOUZ, they got back to their best in the subsequent maps. They took Mirage 13-4 and Nuke 13-7, with everyone on the team having their moments to shine.

G2 comfortable against Liquid

Liquid may have looked better in their recent matches against Vitality, but G2 made light work of them in their opener.

A quick 2-0 in which Liquid didn't even secure enough rounds to win a map, almost everyone on the side of G2 managed to have their fun throughout the quick win.

13-8 on Train and 13-3 on Inferno, G2 continued their resurgence under huNter-, once again reminding everyone that their new team can be a real force this year.

Spirit fly past FlyQuest

From one comfortable 2-0 to the next, Spirit had no troubles in dispatching FlyQuest as they kicked off their BLAST Open London campaign.

An easy win for the BLAST Bounty Season 2 winners, donk was back to his best, he picked up a monstrous 48 kills in just 35 rounds of play across the two maps.

Kicking it off with a 13-4 on Mirage, donk went 23-7, with a flawless 10-0 CT side sealing the win after a strong T side. Spirit then closed it out on Dust2, winning 13-5 after another 25 frags from their star man.

FURIA take down their natioanl rivals

We ended the day on the obligatory group stage Brazil vs Brazil match, and the derby didn't disappoint.

A 2-1 win in favour of FURIA, the two teams traded map picks, but it was the experience and quality of FURIA that managed to secure the deciding map, Mirage, 13-5.

A series in which YEKINDAR shone, he picked up 21 kills to give FURIA the lead in a 13-7 win on Inferno.
