G2 decimate FURIA to advance to grand final
Two teams that have been on the rise in recent months, the game may have ultimately been one-sided, but neither FURIA or G2 disappointed as they took to the Wembley stage.
A strong performance from G2, let's take a look at the action.
G2 announce themselves on Inferno
G2 started incredibly strong on Inferno. 5-1 up in no time at all, HeavyGod got himself on the board with some clean sprays.
The Israeli fragger kicked on from that point, helping G2 close out the half with an 8-4 lead and with HeavyGod, MATYS, and huNter- all on 10 kills.
G2 extended their lead in the quickly in the second half, picking up a pistol round victory on their CT side as they battled FURIA in Mid.
FURIA's attack repeatedly just fell flat on its face, SunPayus was shining, shutting down the Brazilians once more as they tried to take the A site.
The Brazilians did eventually secure one round, but MATYS was having none of it, he ended the game int he very next round to give G2 a 13-5 win.
G2 clean on Mirage
FURIA looked like making the second map more competitive, molodoy was back to his best on the opening round of Mirage.
7-5 at the half in favour of G2 as FURIA managed to string together a reasonably competitive T side, it all fell away in the second half as G2's captain fantastic put them to the sword.
13-5 once more, G2 made it to the final with relative ease, huNter- and SunPayus combined for 38 kills to send their team through.
