Despite the NA team giving them plenty of trouble on their map pick, MOUZ managed to push past M80 with a 2-1 scoreline.
A series that cemented M80's status as a tier one team, they gave everything they had, but ultimately fell short as MOUZ dominated on Inferno.
Let's take a look at the action.
MOUZ can thank their CT side for their win on Ancient, but it looked like an upset win might be on the cars for M80 once more as they bounced back from losing the opening two rounds to take a 3-2 lead.
However, as HexT failed to live up to his hype as a clutch player after picking up seven clutches in the group stage, MOUZ managed to wrestle back control over the map.
8-4 at the half in favour of MOUZ, M80 looked like a pistol round loss could see them fall quickly, but an ace from their star man Lake gave them the confidence to come back into the map.
The NA boys managed to battle back to tie the score at 9-9, but MOUZ's experience prevailed, and a team performance saw them seal the map 13-10.
With Mirage standing as MOUZ's map pick, everyone in the arena was expecting a quick 2-0 for the German organisation, but M80 were having none of it.
A dominant CT side ensued, with slaxz-, Swisher, HexT, and Lake all finding huge impact as they found opening and opening against MOUZ' flat T side. In fact, opening kills were so hard to find for MOUZ, they only managed to secure one in the entire half - and it came in the final round.
And yes, M80 were feeling very good about it.
MOUZ did fight back, though, their CT side was almost as strong. Almost.
Spinx managed to battle his way back from a 0-10 start, and torzsi was finding plenty of impact with his AWP, but as M80 found their 12th round, the comeback felt like it was beginning to run out of steam, and M80 secured the map three rounds later as they took Mirage 13-9.
T side woes continued on map three, and once again it was M80's turn to get blown out as they struggled to find their way into bombsites.
MOUZ' CT side was a brick wall, and Spinx was back to his best, he went 16-4 with a monstrous 2.25 rating on the CT side to fire MOUZ to a 10-2 half.
Unlike the other maps, M80 just couldn't get into the groove on their own CT side, they could only find one round as MOUZ showed the experience to book a semi-final clash against Vitality with a 13-3 win.
