CYPHER stars to push fnatic past ECSTATIC
fnatic may have been disappointed with their game against NAVI, but CYPHER left them with little to complain about in their match versus ECSTATIC.
An incredible 49-23 showing, the Brit top-fragged both maps for his new team, including an impressive 29-kill display on Ancient that included an ace.
13-8 on the map, CYPHER fried the Danish team every time they tried to enter his bombsite, and he didn't let up on Mirage as fnatic converted their 13-8 map one into a 13-7 series win.
electroNic benched after dismal VP display
This season hasn't been going well for VP. and it got even worse as they were eliminated in last place following a 2-1 defeat by M80.
It looked good for VP as they opened the series with a 13-4 win on Overpass, but that hope quickly faded away as they fell 13-6 on Dust2 after 19 kills from Lake.
Mirage was the final nail in electroNic's coffin, with HexT dealing the hammer blow in the final round. A 13-9 defeat, the Canadian's 200IQ sealed electroNic's fate as he knocked out VP with a stellar play on the B site.
Dominant third map sees Vitality past GamerLegion
Vitality haven't been quite as deadly since the BLAST.tv Austin Major, but they showed against GamerLegion that they still have the killer instinct required to lift a trophy.
A 2-1 win for the reigning Major champions, it started well for Vitality with a 13-9 win on Train, but the series was thrown into doubt as GamerLegion picked up Inferno 13-7.
Sent to a Nuke decider, Vitality dominated map three, taking it 13-4 thanks to 17 kills from ropz and a further 16 from flameZ.
FaZe move past NAVI with ease
Although we thought we night get a brawl of a main event, FaZe managed to make light work of NAVI as they took them down in two maps.
broky was the star, but jcobbb also impressed, the new FaZe man picked up a 32-30 statline and a 1.22 rating with HLTV's new season.
13-8 on Mirage and 13-10 on Dust2, broky starred on map one, but it was frozen who took over once again on Dust2, the Slovakian star went 23-15 to send FaZe to the playoffs.
