A day in which two teams exited the competition and two teams secured their spots in the playoffs in London, day four of BLAST Open London came with plenty of excitement.
With four games to get through, let's get into it.
After a disappointing opener against G2, Liquid looked to get back on track as they kicked off the day with an elimination match versus Imperial.
The series began on Dust2, with Liquid dominating to win 13-5 after they levelled the score at 4-4 thanks to one of the easiest 1v5s any player will ever win.
However, Imperial fought back on Train, their captain VINI fragged hard to get his team back into the series and secure a 13-9 victory.
But Liquid refused to bow down, and as NAF put on a vintage display to secure 21 kills, Liquid took the map 13-10 and kept themselves alive in the tournament.
Although dupreeh may have highlighted Legacy as one of the underdog teams to keep an eye on prior the tournament beginning, the Brazilians faltered during the event and were eliminated by FlyQuest today.
A 2-1 win for the Aussie team, they picked up Mirage 13-8, even though they trailed 8-4 at the break. A 9-0 CT half followed, with Vexite recording an impressive 2.75 rating in the second half as he went 12-3 on the CT Side.
Legacy did then dominate Nuke, blitzing FlyQuest as they won 13-2, but FlyQuest rallied on map three, and regali's incredible 27-13 Inferno carry job saw him fire his team into the next round of lower bracket play.
Moving into the upper bracket, MOUZ secured their playoff berth in London as they picked up a 2-0 win over G2.
13-10 on both maps, MOUZ started incredibly as they kicked off Ancient with an 11-1 CT side. GT looked to bring it back as they picked up nine rounds on their own CT side, but that gap was too large, and MOUZ eventually sealed the advantage within the series.
Moving onto Mirage, it was the T side that was the difference maker for MOUZ as they picked up nine rounds in the first half. Once again, G2 attempted to fight back, but MOUZ's CT side was just that little bit stronger, and after conceding a 12-6 lead to 12-10, MOUZ managed to pick up their final round without the need for going all the way to 24.
We ended the day on a banger as FURIA managed to overcome Spirit to claim the fourth spot in the playoffs in London.
An incredible result for the Brazilian team, it looked like it might be a rough series for them at first as donk picked up three on the pistol round to secure the retake. However, FURIA didn't let it get them down, they came back to put together a solid 7-5 lead from their T side.
Moving onto the CT side, donk remained a problem for FURIA, but their star man molodoy was matching him blow for blow. Both players ended the map on 24 kills, but it was the frags out of molodoy that managed to secure FURIA the 13-9 win as he recorded a 1.90 rating.
Map two, Nuke, once again saw a 7-5 first half go the way of the T side, this time in Spirit's favour. However, FURIA's T side was also strong, and as it came down to 3v2 retake in the final round of the game, FalleN managed to use all of his experience and avoid sh1ro's onslaught just long enough to secure his team the 13-11 victory.
